Tara Goushas, CMP
Event Consultant & Owner
Tara has more than twelve years of experience planning and managing the coordination of professional events between Washington, DC and her hometown of Denver, CO, and many other states! Her passion for the hospitality industry, and bringing people together for celebrations, networking, and education through in-person stylish and thoughtfully planned functions, is evident in all of her work. She's also out there giving back to the community through skills based volunteering, pro-bono consulting, and partnering with non-profits to help them meet the goals of their in-person events.
Tara began in the industry with a bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Meeting and Event Planning from the Metropolitan State University of Denver, and followed this with extensive continued education and professional experience, helping her to earn the Certified Meetings Professional (CMP) designation from the Convention Industry Council in 2009, and the Certified Government Meeting Planner (CGMP) from the Society of Government Meeting Professionals in 2010. "I love what I do! I see the stress and extra time it takes people trying to set up events without a professional organizer involved to some degree... I want to help them get it set up right so nothing is forgotten, save them money, and make the whole process easier. The client should be able to focus on their own efforts toward the event, and leave the behind-the scene-setup and scheduling management to me!"
